Maybe this is not NuxtUI team's priority right now, in the meantime you can consider using 3rd lib, like vue3-carousel with this gallery example

That's what I'm currently using and it works well for a carousel - but then I ran nuxi analyze and it was massive 😱

Closing this as a duplicate of #550. You should be able to do this now with #927: https://ui.nuxt.com/dev/elements/carousel
