Problem

Rate limits on docker.io

It would be great to distribute the images directly via ghcr or quay.io in addition to/instead of docker.io.

Solution

Push to alternative mainstream registries.

We don't have the infrastructure to actually build maintain like the Official Images.

I don't follow - a CI build on GH and push to ghcr would be free and hosted by gh.

See previous discussion in #1410 (comment) and #1392

Don't follow - #1392 elaborates around if ghcr will be free or not - which it is.
