@mhdawson asked me to look at the PPC build failures of test-v8, its been failing for several days.

I think I meet the criteria: I've been contributing to Node.js for several years, I work for IBM and am doing this work to support platforms important to us, and @mhdawson @gireeshpunathil @MylesBorins @gdams and several others on the TSC should be able to vouch for me.
