Keyboard doesn't work in samsung dex

At last i found a plover keyboard i can use and then i find out i can only use it in the mode i almost never use with my tablet. :(

Any idea why?

• Are you trying to use the on-screen keyboard or a physical keyboard?
• What steps exactly did you take and what were the results?
  • Were you able to enable Dotterel as an input method?
  • Were you able to to select Dotterel as the active input method?
  • If you were trying to use the on-screen keyboard, did Dotterel's on-screen keyboard appear when in input boxes?
  • If you were trying to use a physical keyboard, did you tell Android to hide the on-screen keyboard while a physical keyboard is plugged in?
