The Phone Track app hangs it's progress icon indefinitely

Steps to reproduce

1. alter the filters for date (only displaying a single date small data set),
2. wait forever for the spinning icon to go away.

Expected behavior

Once the data is loaded, the progress icon should go away.

Actual behavior

The progress icon remains until a page change or refresh is forced.

Addendum:

I had trouble with displaying data when on a weak WiFi connection at UB when trying to show off the software. I balked at the Phone Track demo because of this. I wonder if the software could detect a slow data connection and notify the user with a suggested tighter filter with less data points to display.
