Steps to reproduce

  1. Have no default value for download limits set yet in administrative settings.
  2. Have a file without any share links.
  3. Create a share link for that file.
  4. Customize share by adding a download limit of 5.
  5. Save the changes to the share.
  6. Add another share link for the same file with some different limit.
  7. Save the changes to the second share.

Expected behavior

Both share links retain their configured download limits.

Actual behaviour

The first share link looses its download limit, if you inspect its customization options.

I assume this is related to the default value of the server-wide default limit value being -1.
Once I define a default value in the server settings, the behavior described above no longer is reproducible!
Besides: once set, a server-wide default limit value cannot be removed or changed back to the initial value of -1 anymore. I suggest to either make that possible or just define 1 as the default value for the default download limit right from the start.

@tobiasKaminsky witnessed this in a screen sharing session.

Unfortunately, I failed to reproduce it quickly in scope of a screen recording due to the suspected one-way change of defining a server-wide default value.
