What made you get the idea
So, I've been noticing a request about a better way to connect and share knowledge (Like in #3408). Slack's... mostly enterprise focussed, and there are some issues like a 90 day limit on viewing announcements, messages, etc.

That got me thinking... Discord! And, well, I've taken the initiative and spun up a server: https://discord.gg/rwxCYYdhxg

Why?
Basically, I figured Discord could be a great spot for homelabbers and system administrators alike. Think about it: a place where we can keep all information alive! Plus, a lot of us sysadmins already hang out on Discord, so it'd be a comfy spot to chat. And, since it's so popular, it could get even more people involved in getting Netbird setup for their own homelab, from experts to newbies. I'm not trying to replace Slack, just add to it. Maybe even bridge the two so everyone's in the loop.

Should this be done?
So, what do you all think? It's a "hey I have an idea, maybe it's good. But I'm not 100% sure yet" kind of thing. And I would really like everyone's opinion on this. Thanks for your time, and hope to see you on the server :)

How does the server currently look?
It's still very barebones:

But to make joining as easy as possible (and asking for support) I've implemented the Discord onboarding for people joining into the server.

And (if/when) I can get some automation running, it can also provide a more interactive view with the community, like with release announcements:
