One unfortunate thing about these files is that they go all over the place. There are files for:
CSS/SASS that probably end up in a src folder somewhere
There are PHP functions that could end up in /mu-plugins/ (recommended) but also functions.php or something /theme/inc/ folder or similar
There are notes about changes to TEC templates that go in either /theme/tribe/ or /theme/tribe-events folders
It would be great to make this a repository you could actually clone and use, but for not it feels like it's really just a reference in the form of a repository.
I'm especially interested in how to make the TEC template overrides easier to use. That is further complicated by the fact that if I actually copy-paste the template files, they'll become out-of-date and I have no interest in maintaining that. I'm currently mulling over whether it would useful to recreate the theme template structure of recommended overrides where each template file contains a code comment with instructions for copying the file and a recommendation for how to change it. Would that be useful?
Any and all feedback on this issue would be greatly appreciated!
