"Hand-typed values in the combobox are not saved to the form, although visually it appears they are. Similarly, clearing a country code value from the combobox, and thus returning it to the default "+1", appears not to update the form. Apparently the form only updates when a value in the dropdown is clicked. We have observed, we believe as a result of this, that
- Country codes cannot be hand-typed
- Incorrect validation is triggered for a country code selected from the combobox via typing, or for US when
  clearing of the combobox has defaulted this value
- Default formatting for a hand-typed country is not triggered; similar for US when a clearing of the combobox has defaulted this value
- A blank phone-input field triggers the validation error, if following hand-typing a country code value, or setting the default of US via clearing of the combobox"
