Hello,

My mouse cursor disappears after clicking Hi/Mid/Low gain knobs. Does not return during session. If I go to other apps, the cursor comes back, but disappears when I return to Mixxx.

Cursor returns if Mixxx is quit and restarted, but is transparent again if gain knobs are clicked. Everything else works. Things may still be clicked, just can't see cursor.

Computer: Apple M1, M1 Pro. OSX Monterey v12.0.1. macOS x86_64.
Mixx ver: 2.3.1

Any ideas on fixes? If I need to provide other logs/information, please describe how to do so.

Thank you.

Thanks. I just started a new set, added a couple of tracks and closed mixxx when the cursor disappeared.

There were 4 logs created. Please see the file attached.

I am not able to read the files after unzipping. Can you attach the mixxx.log with the issue without zipping?

This is a concerning entry:

Critical [Main]: <QNSWindow: 0x7f7b00451e40; contentView=<QNSView: 0x7f7b00450f60; QCocoaWindow(0x600002706e10, window=QWidgetWindow(0x6000034dd800, name="QWidgetClassWindow"))>> has active key-value observers (KVO)! These will stop working now that the window is recreated, and will result in exceptions when the observers are removed. Break in QCocoaWindow::recreateWindowIfNeeded to debug.

This is also probably an issue, but unrelated here:

Warning [Main]: CoverArtDelegate - Failed to load cover "CoverInfo(METADATA,GUESSED,,0xfe07,/Users/az/Music/Hot Dj Charts – Picks 87 (48 Tracks) [electronicfresh.com]/False Intentions - Beggers to My Love (Extended Mix).mp3,)"

Maybe related to this: https://bugs.launchpad.net/mixxx/+bug/1954453

What is â€" displayed in finder? I think a special dash or the same? If it is the same a decoding issue must have happen elsewhere.

I have created a experimental native Apple M1 build here:
https://github.com/daschuer/mixxx/actions/runs/1592186560

You need a GitHub account to download the "macOS DMG" at the bottom of the page.
Unfortunately it is not signed and can be only run after

xattr -cr mixxx.app

I am curious if this solves your issue.

The issue with the dash was only a phantom, a display issue in Firefox. After downloading the file, I see the dash. Is there a real issue with the cover?

Is this a duplicate of https://bugs.launchpad.net/mixxx/+bug/1130794
