Issues with power management. CPU Pkg is 1.7~2W on idle while CPU cores are 0.1W or less.

Causes could be numerous:

  • Nvme
  • unused PCIe devices

With:

  • Screen at 100%
  • Wifi On
  • BT On

I register:

  • On windows
    • 4W total consumption on idle
    • <1W in CPU PKG + CPU CORE on idle
  • On Linux (Arch)
    • 5-6W total consumption on idle
    • <1W in CPU PKG + CPU CORE on idle
  • On macOS
    • 13W total consumption on idle
    • ~3W in CPU PKG + CPU CORE on idle

on 60% brightness the screen consumes 1W, on 100% the screen consumes 5W (so better keep it at 60% or less).

Using NVMeFix did not help.

Any help is welcomed.
