It is now possible to move the search location from the activity bar to the panel area using the setting search.location. Verify:

• Changing this setting the search is moved from sidebar to panel, and the other way around
• Position of search is preserved across vscode sessions
• Try out all the search actions in the view and make sure they work as expected
• Try out all the search actions in the command palette and make sure they work as expected

Please note that this milestone we still did not polish the search UX to take advantage of additional horizontal space. This work we plan to do the following milestones. Ideas around this are welcome, but for this I would prefer one issue with ideas rather than multiple small issues.
