Environment data

  • VS Code version: 1.33.1-1554971066
  • Extension version (available under the Extensions sidebar): 2019.3.6558
  • OS and version: Ubuntu 19.04 amd64
  • Python version (& distribution if applicable, e.g. Anaconda): 3.7.3
  • Type of virtual environment used (N/A | venv | virtualenv | conda | ...): N/A
  • Relevant/affected Python packages and their versions: N/A

Expected behaviour

Python symbols in structure view

Actual behaviour

No Python symbols in structure view

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Installed the Python extension

Output for Python in the Output panel (ViewOutput, change the drop-down the upper-right of the Output panel to Python)

libssl actually is installed:

$ dpkg -l | grep libssl

Output from Console under the Developer Tools panel (toggle Developer Tools on under Help; turn on source maps to make any tracebacks be useful by running Enable source map support for extension debugging)

The Python Tools server crashed 5 times in the last 3 minutes. The server will not be restarted.
