python extension 2020.4 update has a bug of not showing python interpreter. When i installed older version it works fine.

Yes.. the interpreter doesn't appear!

I'd appreciate it if you could help me with this 2 things:

1. If you have jupyter installed, run jupyter kernelspec list in your terminal and share the result.

2. Upload the console log from Help -> Toggle Developer Tools. We should be able to see some errors there.

@it5prasoon Can you tell us when version of the extension? and which version of python is not detected? If possible please share a screen shot.

Closing this. Another related issue was already addressed in 2020.5 release. IF you are also seeing "python not installed" it should be addressed by: #11870.
