It's because the extension doesn't officially support cygwin/git-bash (hence why the file path looks weird). I would recommend either using WSL or you can do the tool installation manually and see if that happens to work. |

It doesn't matter what formatter I choose, the installation fail. vscodeextensionsms-python.python-2021.2.633441544pythonFilespyvsc-run-isolated.py': [Errno 2] No such file or directory
I tried install/uninstall python and extension multiple times.
