Hi everyone!
I have developed this extension after dealing with some big pull requests and noticing how difficult they get to review as their size increases which could cause a significant code review bottleneck and
undetected bugs appearing in production. It can be pretty annoying.
After doing some research, I have found some team strategies to control the PRs size that target important parts of this problem. But I always wondered if a tool that can help specifically the developer couldn't be useful. So I created this extension that counts the changes between your git working tree and a comparison branch defined by you. It also warns you if the count exceeds a changes quantity threshold also defined by you.
By controlling the size of your pull requests, you can make them easier to review, integrate code faster and reduce the risk of undetected bugs.
I would like to share this extension with y'all and know what you think about it! If you are interested in using it, be sure to open a folder in your workspace that has git initialized for the extension to work.
