Re: Developer Community item 10491767

Does the .NET team have any plans to provide an updated snapshot of .NET Framework source code? .NET Framework 4.8.1 (released in 2022) is missing. @rzikm indicated the reference source website is in maintenance mode but did not address the actual code request.

By continuing to release the .NET Framework source code, Microsoft is not only affirming its commitment to transparency, but also providing a valuable resource for developers to understand the changes between versions. Furthermore, it plays a crucial role in ensuring that third-party software remains compatible with the .NET Framework.

I'm also missing the source code for 4.8.1.

Even worse is that a project targeting 4.8 will automatically use 4.8.1 runtime if installed, otherwise 4.8(.0).
This makes it very hard to understand what's happening if there is some .net runtime problem.
