Project name

My apps In Teams

My apps in Teams

Description

We are both working as Microsoft 365 consultants and we had a lot of users ask us if it would be possible to show the applications available at the My Apps page inside teams. So all their employees could access that information right from Teams instead of yet an other website.

Building this app was a big challenge since the information displayed at the My Apps page is normally not available as a Graph endpoint. We had to do some actual hacking to get access to the information needed.

During the project Stephan uncovered a security bug which is currently under investigation at the Microsoft Security Response Center. We cannot tell you more on this at this moment.

At the end we also investigated if we could at the users' Sign-ins, but those are not accessibly without a lot of granted permissions.

Features

  • All My Apps, directly loaded from the actual api the My Apps page is using as well, and actual "hack" since the api is not public.
  • Sign-ins (proof-of-concept, depending on accessibility)
  • Onboarding, or profile updates.
  • News items (from svrooij.io

Once again, awesome work @svrooij and @BakkerJan! Looking forward to checking it out! Meanwhile, would you both be willing to fill in a feedback survey? It would help us improve next time and we'd appreciate it very much: https://aka.ms/hack-together-teams/survey.
