NavMenu background wrong color?

I have been wondering why the menu has a slightly different color. It does make a little sense, but when i look at the fluent 2 design website, the navigation comes without any color difference. Was this a choice from the integration side?

Personally, i think it should default to the variable 'neutral-fill-rest', this seems more inline with the fluent 2 design website: https://fluent2.microsoft.design/

This might have been a conscious decision though, if so i will simply try to overwrite the design token for my own component.

The menu on the Fluent 2 site is a completely different thing. There was no integration choice in play. The Navigation Menu we have comes from my 'design capabilities' :) and I just liked it as it is now.
Overwriting the token should be doable.
