We will be refactoring this flow soon so that it can run more frequently and be expanded then to other objects.
But in the near term we can patch it to fetch the true count of the group

using that HTTP call I found.

this does not get us a unique list so if a user is in multiple groups that belong to the app they will be double counted.
it also does not get us if the user is guest, app, etc.
but today's situation is worse in that we dont actually know when things are overshared at all.
So think this is a good change until we do the deeper work to include the above.
