sometimes doesn't show the files and folder for widows files using ls command

Environment

Windows build number: Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.19041.264]
Your Distribution version: Ubuntu 20.04 
Whether the issue is on WSL 2 

Steps to reproduce

I access to any files or folder in WSL using ls and change directory using cd commands

root@username:/mnt/c/#  ls 

Expected behavior

I should use ls command to show all files and directory. but it's empty in WSL

Actual behavior

doesn't show anything. all directors and windows folders don't show. some days everything works well and all folders can be accessed. and sometimes I can't access or the contents and folders in windows partitions are empty but actually it's not empty.

What does mount | grep /mnt return. Also run dmesg and see if anything pops out.
