for the defaults of v0.1.x I propose:

multiprocessing off
widgets off (not required at all)
default plotting QT

this should make:

the notebook actually stable (and updatable to a non prehistoric version)
@eendebakpt @peendebak and @MerlinSmiles happy

but it may mean that users of multiprocessing have to figure out stuff them-selves,
which it's fair enough IMHO.
