[Run] Switch to the application instance instead of launching a new one #8156

Same here, I also don't want to have to type "<". I just want to get to my application of interest, I don't care if it's already running or not. Just get me there by showing the already open instance or opening a new one. Also, in most cases I already have an open instance and just want to switch fast between them. With the "<" it's not that fast anymore. ): |

📝 Provide a description of the new feature
We already have the start menu that allows us to do basically the same thing that Run currently does (launch a new instance of the application.) To make more use of Run, we need to make it work differently.. basically convert it to an optional task switch, and runner.
What is the expected behavior of the proposed feature? What is the scenario this would be used?
We need to make use of Run by making it a little different:
