Power System Monitor #3583
Comments
Have you used Speccy [by Piriform] ? It's a system (information) tool, it can show one thing in its taskbar icon, just without all the other things you would like to see. But maybe it'll do enough for you? |
No I did not, yet. Just used XMeters so far. But Speccy sounds a lot more like HWInfo? And if it's only one icon in the taskbar it would not be enough for me... |
TaskbarStats app is great, I suggest you try it. |

I know this is an old one, but I want to boost it up. There is news that Microsoft is adding support to Windows 11 to allow users to control RGB lighting on various accessories that have it. This will save users from having to install shady device-specific apps to handle that. However, there is still a missing piece which is cooling. Both fan speed monitoring and temperature monitoring are not, and never have been included in Windows. Users who want that info have always had to install shady third party software. It's also something that only power users who can install Power Toys would be interested in. Please add a PowerToy for monitoring temperatures and fan speeds. It's something that Windows really should have had 20+ years ago, but better late than never. |

the devhome tool only works for win 11, that's why the feature has been suggested for powerToys |

Summary of the new feature/enhancement
I would like to see all the system monitor infos which are offered via task manager in a small and neat form in the taskbar.
All usages (CPU, MEM, GPU, disk, network) should be separated between system and user related processes.
In the settings the following should be configurable:
On left-click it should also open up a more detailed view.
Here are some screenshots of existing toolings:
Ubuntu
XMeters
Systempal
