Description of the new feature / enhancement

Can we have a network speed monitor Taskbar widget?

  • It should be able to show upload and download speed of the current connection and a vpn icon if VPN is connected.
  • Further, it can store network connection stats in a local sqlite database and expose this information to other apps to determine and adapt as per network capacity.

Scenario when this would be used?

  1. For general user, a feature and a quick view to diagnose network connectivity.
  2. For apps/developers, network data of the user for adapting their apps for better experiences.
