check up on a post after some time (10 minutes?) to check if it has alt text now, if it doesn't: mention the user and tell them to review and edit the alt-text and add it to the image

also explaining how leaving it just in the comments is not helpful to screen reader users

Maybe also telling them (as a reminder) to maybe edit the alttext accordingly?
Or would that be too much for this reply (and maybe to paternalistic)?
