Hi @tritemio,

This is a duplicate of #508, #511 & #514 - a small number of users reported this when upgrading to Visual Studio Code 1.56.0 as well. It's a Visual Studio Code bug that Microsoft still hasn't, and needs to address - it affects all extensions that use Visual Studio Code Webview's.

@mhutchie thanks for the answer. Yes, I had the bug already in 1.56.0 then it disappeared for a while, then it reappeared now with 1.57.0. Do you know any workaround until vs code fixes the issue?

As you noticed I opened a VS Code issue first. Are they aware of the problem? Do they have all the info to fix the bug?

Hi @tritemio,

There's nothing that can be done at the extension level, as the issue is inside of Visual Studio Code and affects all extensions that use Webview's.

I'll add some additional details to your Visual Studio Code issue.

@tritemio Would you please rename your issue in the Visual Studio Code repository to "Webview Service Worker Error (Linux)", to highlight that it affects all extensions that use Visual Studio Code Webview's (and not just an issue with a single extension). This should make it be higher prioritised, as users from other extensions with the same issue can all use it.
