I've connected my bot to chat, and when I command /alert, I get

This chat hasn't been setup to receive any alerts yet... 😕

Ask an administrator of the Alertmanager to add a webhook with /webhooks/telegram/chat-id as URL.

What and where should I do?

Good feedback. I'll update the response to be more specific.
You need to add that YAML to the alertmanager configuration as receiver.
https://prometheus.io/docs/alerting/latest/configuration/#receiver

Afterwards you can configure alerts to be routed to that receiver. Exactly like anything else with alertmanager.

Sorry, it was a weekend beginning with the message "Our datacenter is down", and I may have some troubles reading.

What exactly should I do?

This is only a small part of the alertmanager configuration. It's just one receiver of many you might setup. Then you need to route alerts to it. I hope that helps. Check the alertmanager docs, they should clear things up.

As far as I can understand, infotel-telegram should receive everything.

When I do curl to chat webhook URL, I receive in logs msg="chat is not subscribed for alerts"

So far, I can easily send message to individual user, but not to chat.

/chats show subscribed chat, but no message appears.

You need to send /start to the bot in the chat you want to subscribe with.
