If go to Preferences and mark "Set transaction fees manually" and then try to send some funds, nothing happens

Can you duplicate the error with any other chain?

Just tested this with a Windows Encompass, on Win8.1, and for good measure I ensured that encompass reported the current network block. This is a pristine VM.

I was able to (apparently) duplicate this issue, more or less. I was unable to immediately duplicate this with OSX binary release, but able to with Windows. Will investigate on Linux binary release.

"Nothing" failed to happen - the txn appeared to have been successfully signed, and Encompass failed on broadcast.

Encompass encountered an exception and halted abruptly when sending a transaction as described above (I sent .0005 with .0005 fee manually set) Encompass remained in a "synchronizing" state until I switched chains to BTC, and then returned to DASH once BTC was current with blockheaders.

The transaction did complete.

Followup: Only able to duplicate in windows - windows encompass crashes every time, any DASH send. Will debug this and see what's the issue. Am still unable to duplicate on other platforms or source.

This will require a windows debug build - @r00ty I'll post a link here for that build if you'd like to run it. Since this is Windows specific, and doesn't affect Linux Binary, it would appear that the issue is win32-specific, as opposed to something caused by pyinstaller.

Could it be due to a variant of bitcoin/bitcoin#6093 ?

If not, just blame it on Bill Gates, even if he is officially retired. :-)

@r00ty I wasn not able to reproduce with any version except the Windows version running in Win8.1 - we're not able to duplicate with the same version running in wine under linux.

I'm sending DASH just fine from each other version.

closed wrong issue

@ELM4Ever The issue cited is a C language Locale issue, seems fairly specific to boost usage in bitcoin - so nothing to do with this.
