Branch in progress to support this, migrating neopixel support to an i2c driver. Read More: #30 and https://github.com/dmt-labs/modular-biped/wiki/Software:-Modules#neopixel |

The initial approach to connect neopixels (addressable LEDs used in the 'eye') to the Raspberry Pi was following this guide:
https://learn.adafruit.com/neopixels-on-raspberry-pi/raspberry-pi-wiring
There is a note around disabling audio:
This prevents audio output from being used alongside neopixels connected to GPIO18.
However:
NeoPixels must be connected to GPIO10, GPIO12, GPIO18 or GPIO21 to work! GPIO18 is the standard pin.
The implementation in v2 and v3 use GPIO12, but I haven't been able to enable audio again successfully on my device. It may be a configuration fault. This is something that should be considered before enabling neopixels with the PI.
Note that this limitation is not present on the Jetson Nano.
