You wrote "It is backward compatible with MarkerClusterer."
But the function redraw() is not available in MarkerClustererPlus. Its counterpart seems to be repaint().
Also other methods of the MarkerClusterer class seems to be missing in MarkerClustererPlus :

  • getExtendedBounds
  • getMap
  • isZoomOnClick
  • resetViewport
  • setMap
