In the settings activated tray, but it does not work - there is no icon, only notifications work.
Ubuntu 14.04
Liferea 1.10.9
Instructions from the site does not solve the problem:
gsettings set com.canonical.Unity.Panel systray-whitelist "['all']"
Error:
Scheme «com.canonical.Unity.Panel» missing

Sorry about this. With the rise of Ubuntu Unity and GNOME shell tray icons became impossible. This is why git master has the trayicon code already removed. There is only a plugin to enable it to be used with GNOME classic.
