Demo_XQDA.m what's the meaning of 'numClass'?

hello,i can't understand the meaning of numClass which in the code of Demo_XQDA.m？My dataset is market1501，which have 750 pairs. How to set up numClass？ Thanks very much!
numClass = 632;
numFolds = 10;
numRanks = 100;

@jacktkk my dataset is multi_shot,like market1501.So the size of gallery is according to the sorts of my dataset.
