Disclaimer and note, this might be an issue with sqlalchemy - it's the source of the error. buildozer android_new generates this error, but buildozer android does not. Please let me know what other information would be useful!

Have you found a way to work around this issue?

Edit: I have. Check out this issue . Once you have whitelisted those files, added python2 (instead of hostpython2), sqlite3 and sqlalchemy to your requirements and run buldozer android_new clean it should start working.

I guess this is fixed after 3 years, otherwise feel free to re-open with updated info
