Right now, if one installs
prometheus-operatorwithout default storage class being created on the cluster, alertmanager and prometheus pods will be stuck pending unless the class is created and pods are manually removed.We could make
prometheus-operatorto query the cluster for default storage class before installation and fail if the class is not present to avoid situation, where component is successfully installed, but it's not really working.This is an enhancement proposed in #433.
