headphone amp not needed

I dont think you need any amölifyer for the headphones. I am using UM2 with AT50 witout problems.

I think it depends on how much noise is in the room. I've heard both comments: "why do you need a headphone amp?" and "how do I get more volume?". If you're playing drums or blowing a horn or singing, I think you'd want the headphone amp. If you're playing a "silent" instrument like a keyboard, you don't really need it. I spec a headphone amp to be sure it works for everyone. But if you don't need it, great.
