@mnopneal My advice is "don't go there". You'll likely spend a lot of time messing with it, and in the end it won't work very well. There are some really cheap USB dongles that work pretty well, especially for output (the mic inputs tend to be on the noisy side). I think I have referenced a couple of them in the discussions. If you really want to try, in /boot/config.txt, there's a line that disables the built-in audio. Then you'll need to get it working with jack audio at 48KHz, with apps that expect a mic channel that you won't have. |

Please don't shoot the questioner.
Is it possible to have a configuration of Jambox/Jamulus which has no audio input, but does output to the onboard 1.8 jack on the Pi 4?
The application would be for someone remotely monitoring & adjusting the house sound mix from a remote location.
Latency in the seconds would be quite acceptable in that context.
Just aiming to avoid another doo-dad hanging off the remote device.
