Consider using Babelnet (http://babelnet.org):

Boost multilingualism (the synsets are aligned). It contains wordnet's synset with more.
Contains more knowledge (for example, wordnet doesn't contain all cities of the world. In babelnet I can even find "Djimla" my birth town; a very small town in Algeria)
