Some punctuations have meanings in the sentence:

  • How to represent this:

    I work on three subjects: IR, NLP and KR.

  • How to represent explanation using parenthesis ()

For now, the enumeration can be explained by the relation "OF".

The sentence above will be seen as:

I work on three subjects of IR, NLP and KR

Another proposition is to add "which is (are)":

I work on three subjects which are IR, NLP and KR
