no effect templates/django_bridge/boostrap.html

adding

{% block extra_body %}
  <h2>test</h2>
{% endblock %}

to templates/django_bridge/boostrap.html will not effect the page
can anybody help ?
I am trying to understand how to place a footer and a header.
can we do it from tract ?
