OpenAI language models do not show in the language selection dropdown

After updating to JupyterLab 4.1.6 + Jupyter AI 2.13.0, the OpenAI models no longer show. The screenshot below shows how it looks using Jupyter 4.1.5 + Jupyter AI 2.12.0.

Same here for jupyterlab==4.1.5 and jupyter_ai==2.13.0. Various other models are missing (can also be checked with %ai list).

@Zymrael @hailiang-shen This is likely due to the upstream changes in langchain; langchain recently moved all of its OpenAI models to the langchain-openai package, so you now need to install langchain-openai to get access to OpenAI models. Can you try doing that?

If you want to install every dependency to get access to all models currently supported by jupyter-ai, you should run:

pip install jupyter-ai[all]

Thanks for the response. Installing the latest langchain-openai lib does show Open AI in the dropdown.

However, after I set Jupyter AI up in the setting (it displays "Settings saved successfully."), I go back to the chat panel, which is now blank (screenshot below). Running the /help command will throw the following error. The /clear command does work as expected. Asking questions seems to work too.

At least when running:

mamba create -n jupyter_env nb_conda ipykernel jupyter-ai

...the Open AI models are not listed.

Subsequently running pip install jupyter-ai[all] in the conda environment does not add the OpenAI models to the list of models.
