It would be great to have a logo wall of companies or orgs that use JSON Schema.
For a good example, see https://www.fastify.io

Requirements:

  • Data drive using a JSON file
  • Logos will be colour
  • Logos link to a URL defined in JSON data
  • Can tag orgs as company or project (or both)
  • Page with instructions on how to add your own (via PR)
  • Date driven selection of logos for the home page
  • Stand alone page which shows all the logos

Postman is confirmed as the first logo we can use. Approved.

The website repo is located at https://github.com/json-schema-org/json-schema-org.github.io
You will need docker to build it locally.

Why grayscale? Color is an integral part of a lot of companies' identities.

It keeps them consistent. Colour as you roll over is a really nice effect. It's pretty common to do this.

Personally that greyscale roll over looks terrible? But anyway, you cant just change a company logo to greyscale because you feel like it? Render it with permission, and as is. That's part of the (C), (TM) and (R) rights process

e.g.

https://freshdesk.com/
https://www.digitalocean.com/

Hi @Relequestual ,

Can you please tell me how can I know that a specific company is using JSON schema, I mean which are the things to look at their website which will tell us that this company is using JSON schema?
so that I can find out all the companies that are using JSON schema

Thanks

I think the more reasonable question is, "Does your company use JSON Schema, and would they like to be advertised on our website?" I think that working at the company provides more credibility.

Also, @peterbam is right: we need to be sure we get permission before we include a company on the site, even if it is an employee reporting it.

We can check the API calls in developer tools and after seeing the response we can tell which site is using JSON schema or not, but this is a very hectic and time-consuming process

OK, let's go with coloured logos. That's fine. I just saw other projects doing this and thought it looked pretty nice.

In terms of fair use, I guess it depends on how you view the home page. I guess it could be seen as an advertisement rather than educational, although we aren't selling anything.

Still, let's not dwell on it, and let's ask people from companies to add them.
I'll work on getting permission from Postman directly as a first logo to use.

Who uses JSON Schema?

I usually refer to this slide from my talks
https://speakerdeck.com/relequestual/the-state-of-json-schema?slide=3
We can also target any orgs listed here
https://ajv.js.org/#who-uses-ajv
and here

Requirements updated.
I'll make a GitHub Project so we can track the progress of hassling asking each org we want to target.
