The Problem

I upgraded my watermeter from 15.7.0 to 16.0.0-rc1 and since then the image is very dark, obviously caused by "auto-exposure", which is on.

What I tried:

  1. switch off "auto-exposure" and the image is bright again.
  2. switched on "auto-exposure" and created a new reference image and everything is ok again.

I had the same issue when upgrading to 15.7.0 from 15.6.0 early this year.

had same issue, but after creating a new reference image, the quality of the image is 100 times better than before.

This is normal and intended, you have to create a new reference image after installing.
When creating a new reference image, camera parameters that are missing in the config.ini are added.
For this purpose, values ​​are taken that came out as the best after several tests.
Some reported that the image was too bright and others reported that the image was still too dark, but for the majority it was ok.
The tooltips have also been revised and are more informative, which should make it easier to find the right camera settings.
