Adding Tasks via external software

Hi!

I'm thinking about extending some external applications to be able to directly create ToDos in SP. Does anyone know what would be the best approach for that (if any)?
I messed around with modifying the MAIN.json in my WebDAV directory to let the Software sync the file with the manually added Task but the Task doesnt show up in the Software. Has anybody tried something similar?

Any ideas?

If you look closer in the model you see that taskIds also need to appear in the project or tag lists to show up somewhere.

Thanks for the answer! So it should be possible to add the Task by adding it to the MAIN.json? I might just need to fix the syntax?
