I'm not too familiar with Docker, but since the volume-related lines in docker-compose.yml are all commented out (even though start.sh creates these directories), does that mean that all changes will be lost when the containers are shut down?

Issues arose when sharing volumes with postgres and hadoop. You could uncomment volumes: and rspark-test under rstudio. However, you do not have access to rspark-notes which was for another course.
