I'm pretty sure I saw something similar recently. Did you apply a filter before you ran descriptives?

The error appears when I enter a variable to split the boxplots (gender or age). These variables have some missing data maybe that's the trouble? When I filter to remove the missing data the error remains.

@TimKDJ the error message at the first post appears after filtering the gender variable (selecting only man and woman)

There was a problem with our filter which will be fixed in the next release of JASP.

As a temporary workaround: to get boxplots of your data you will have to remove the missing values manually and then remove the filter.
