What happened?

I am trying to do a transaction but it shows "Your account must finish scanning before sending a transaction" like this. I asked in discord. No one able to solve this problem. My points in leaderboard decreased. I cand do the tasks.

You have to wait for scanning to finish, as the message says. Run ironfish status if you want to see the status.

I tried running status it showed as ok but not synced properly. I used rescan command to sync but for days its not working. I asked help from discord. They are also not able to help me. My balance shows zero instead of 8 iron. I cant able to do tasks like mint,burn and send. I tried updating it,no use. Help me out pls.

If your node does not show that the chain is SYNCED then it needs to sync from other nodes in the network. Running rescan won't affect syncing: it will re-scan blocks that it already has for any transactions that involve your accounts.

Syncing happens over time while your node is running. When you stop your node, it stops syncing and falls further behind.

So what should I do to sync properly. It shows synced but not properly. I understand that. How should I sync properly then.

It may help for you to paste your status output. There's the blockchain sync and then there's the account scan. Not sure what you mean by 'sync properly'.

your version is outdated and you're way behind the tip of the chain (its at 52k+ right now). update and restart the node.

just stop and then start again (ironfish stop, ironfish start). curious what your node log looks like. can you paste that screen?
