This is an offshoot of #1324. When using a fix from @IRCody for #1324, there was still a single node in a tribe cluster that has an increasing number of open connections until it hits the file handle limit. However, after discussion with @IRCody, this is possibly caused by a different code path. These connections accrue over the course of a few days, so this bug is harder to duplicate

Looks like after some more testing, we cannot replicate this issue. So I am going to close it
