• The user should able to create a editable query box with a drop down on the "+" tab
• The action will create an "Editor" mode tab

The Schema Explorer is tied to Query tabs. We would like the Schema Explorer to still be accessible, but have it perform as a static browsable index and have no effect on the query. This way users using "Terminal" mode can still use the Schema Explorer for reference.

Needs more conversation.

Issues:

  • Concern about the user experience with the editor: queries that cover a large number of points will do bad things; zooming requires the UI to know at least a little information about the query
  • Desire to know a bit more about the future requirements of the query editor to make sure they're taking them into account with the first implementation (eg. will they eventually include autocomplete in the editor)

@willpiers can you change "raw text" to "InfluxQL" on the tab.
