editing a toot to add a group #99

I have a question about the behavior of a guppe group in the following scenario:

I publish a toot without mentioning any groups
I edit the toot and add the @-address of a group
I save the toot

It seems that the second toot does not get boosted by the group. Is that correct and/or intended?
